January is never the busiest month but I ended up magicianing for far more than I expected… which is great!
One event that stood out was a Cancer Research charity ball at the Hilton in Glasgow. They raised over £22500 for a cause that my own family are also very familiar with.
I attended some lovely celebrations in the form of birthdays and weddings. On Saturday in Dundee, I got to explore the ship that took Robert Scott to the Antarctic, the DHT Discovery, before I moved on to perform for a very friendly and welcoming wedding party at Tay Park House.
One of the highlights of the year for most magician is fast approaching too. Next week, myself and 3000 other magicians will be meeting up for the Blackpool Magicians Convention 2015, the world biggest magic convention. This is a 3 day event where we investigate new routines/products, we attend star lectures, watch evening gala shows featuring world famous acts and we let our hair down a bit by having a few drinks while talking/performing magic. I love attending this as it never feels to leave me inspired and wanting to try out new material.
