Today I performed twice on stage at The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, the oldest music hall in the world, in Glasgow with lots of brilliant magicians.
The venue is beautiful (photos soon) despite it currently being restored and gives you a real sense of the golden days of stage entertainment. It has many great stories attached to it, ranging from it hosting the début performance of Stan Laurel to it once being the home to a chimp called “Solomon”, who wore top hat and tails and was trained as a pickpocket.
My show evolved around movies and how to make life more exciting. It went really well, the audience really enjoyed themselves and everyone involved in running the show were amazingly friendly, helpful and fun.
If you ever get a chance to go to a show at the Panopticon (especially a magic show ), don’t hesitate!
